I'd wrapped up a session in a client's account and stepped away for maybe 45 minutes.

Took a breath, then moved on to the next thing.

Then my phone buzzed.

Funnel Pulse alert. His funnel hub.. offline.

I actually laughed. I'd just been in there. Deep in it for hours.

So I clicked the alert anyway.. just to prove it wrong.

It wasn't wrong.

His stuff was DOWN. 😮

Went to DM him and saw he'd already messaged me -- 2 minutes earlier.

"Account transfer complete!"

There it was.

He had two accounts with his registrar under different email addresses. Just one of those things that happens when you've done a million things online. They migrated the domain between them and when the transfer completed..

They wiped everything.

Every record. A records. CNAMEs. TXT records. The entire map that tells the internet where his domain lives.. gone.

His brand, sent back to the stone age in one click.

I had access to his registrar and his Cloudflare account. Told him I'd handle it.

Ten minutes later we were back up. Hero moment. ✊

I thought we were done.

Two weeks later he DMs me.

"Hey.. my email hasn't been working."

And that's when the real bomb dropped.

When they wiped everything.. they wiped everything.

Every email record. Gone.

For 14 days, every email he sent from his computer went nowhere. Every reply he was waiting on.. never arrived. All his communication.. hitting a wall no one could see.

Now here's the part that sucks..

This guy sells a $50,000 offer.

One conversation at the right moment is worth fifty grand.

And for two weeks.. those conversations were just.. gone. Bounced into a void. No error message on his end. No indication anything was wrong. Just silence where replies should have been.

Maybe nothing was in flight. Maybe he got lucky.

Maybe he was in the middle of nurturing someone who was almost ready to say yes.

There's no way to know. That's the point.

There's no rewind button when the place you send an email to doesn't exist. Those 14 days don't come back. The conversations that didn't happen.. didn't happen.

Same transfer. Same mistake. Same moment in time.

One failure showed up immediately.. caught and fixed in under 10 minutes.

The other one ran silently for two weeks and the cost of it is genuinely uncountable.

That's what silent infrastructure failure actually looks like. Not a dramatic crash. Just a quiet gap that nobody notices until someone finally asks the right question.
