Google Search Console is one of the most underused free tools in the online business world..

Most people either don't have it set up or log in once, feel overwhelmed, and never go back. Which means Google is doing things to your content that you don't know about. Pages getting dropped. Traffic disappearing. Index issues sitting undetected for months.

Here are 5 things worth knowing about GSC that most funnel operators miss..

One. Submit your sitemap. GSC has a Sitemaps section under Index. Paste your sitemap URL there -- for most CF sites it's yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. This tells Google exactly which pages exist and want to be found. Without it Google is guessing.

Two. Use URL Inspection before you wonder why a page isn't ranking. Paste any page URL into the top search bar in GSC and it tells you exactly what Google sees -- whether it's indexed, when it was last crawled, and whether there are any issues. Takes 10 seconds.

Three. Check the Pages report under Indexing. This shows you every page Google knows about and why some aren't indexed. The most common reason you'll find: "Crawled -- currently not indexed." Google visited but decided not to include it. Usually a content quality signal. Fix the page. Request indexing.

Four. Request indexing after every new page you publish. In URL Inspection hit "Request Indexing" after the check runs. This puts your page in the priority crawl queue instead of waiting for Google to find it on its own schedule -- which can take weeks.

Five. Watch the Coverage report after any site change. Any time you update your funnel, change a URL, or modify your robots.txt -- check Coverage within 48 hours. This is where accidental noindex tags and crawl errors surface before they cost you organic traffic you didn't know you had.
